Well, I thought that I should actually post something about my family. First, I am currently the only member of my family that is not in a relationship. I am not ashamed about that, but I do know that I do miss out on this. But, enough about me. This post is actually about a new member to our family.
In order (oldest first), I have a sister(married), a brother (with girlfriend in extended relationship), myself, a second brother (married), and a third brother (planning on getting married to girlfriend). The second brother and his wife are in the process of adopting a baby. From what I was told, the birth mother has already surrendered all custody rights to them. The only stumbling block is that the genetic father is not in the area, and they want to make sure that everything is down in writing (especially his surrendering of all parental rights). I understand why they want this all done in writing, since they do not want anything to go wrong in the future.
Yes, I got to see my new nephew on Saturday evening. It was just after his evening feeding, so he was well awake. He was so cute. He may not become a spoiled child, but he will have an aunt, four uncles (one being my sister-in-law's brother), and two sets of grandparents who are glad to have a new member of the family.
